Our Story

Building for Indian infrastructure since 1998

Operations began in 1998. A thin client line followed in 2003 and servers in 2005, and in 2006 the business was incorporated as Spectra Technologies India Private Limited. NetBytes is the brand those machines carry today.

The division of labour is worth stating plainly, because it is how we work rather than how we market: Spectra does not assemble components, it engineers platforms. NetBytes is what you buy; Spectra is who sizes it, builds it and answers the phone afterwards.

Nothing here is a fixed SKU. A build starts from the workload — cores, memory, storage tier, network and accelerators are chosen for it — and is integrated and manufactured in India. Every machine then runs 24 to 72 hours of burn-in under CPU, memory and storage stress, with thermal checks and a SMART review, so anything marginal is found on our bench rather than in your rack. The firmware baseline is recorded and the system ships rack-ready, in around 7 to 10 business days for the standard models.

Machines built this way run at ISRO, DRDO, AIIMS, IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur, C-DAC, CSIR, Coal India, Indian Railways, India Post, EPFO and across private industry — more than 1,500 enterprise deployments.

Support is where an OEM is actually judged. Warranty runs 1 to 5 years as per the terms finalised, with next-business-day on-site response: on-site in the major cities, remote support elsewhere, and on-site cover further afield arranged with the contract. A single point of contact who understands your infrastructure, not a rotating helpdesk queue.
