What this policy covers This policy explains what Spectra collects when you use this website or contact us, why it is collected, who it is shared with and how long it is kept. NetBytes is a brand of Spectra Technologies India Private Limited. It applies to enquiries, quotation and order communication, warranty and support requests, job applications sent to us, and ordinary use of this website.
The short version Spectra Technologies India Private Limited, which builds under the NetBytes brand, collects limited personal or business information for quotation, support and commercial communication. Information is not sold or shared with third parties except for support, compliance or logistics fulfilment. We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors for marketing purposes.
What we collect
The information you give us, and the little the site records
Four categories, and nothing beyond them.
Enquiry details — Name, email address, phone number, company and the message you write, submitted through an enquiry or contact form on this site.
Support and warranty details — Serial number or asset tag, invoice or project reference, a description of the issue, site location and a contact person, when you raise a request.
Job applications — Whatever you choose to send when you apply — typically a CV, contact details and the role you are interested in.
Website usage — Page path, the referring page, your browser's user agent string, and a random session identifier kept in your browser for the length of the visit.
Why we hold it
What the information is used for
Each of these is a purpose you would expect from having contacted a hardware manufacturer. We do not use your details for anything else without asking you first.
Responding to your enquiry and preparing a quotation
Order confirmation, delivery coordination and commercial communication
Warranty validation, support tickets and repair coordination
Documentation, compliance statements and declarations a project requires
Considering a job application and contacting you about it
Understanding which pages of this site are used, so it can be improved
What we do not do
The commitments that go with it
We do not sell your personal or business information
We do not share it for third-party advertising or marketing
We do not run advertising or social media tracking pixels on this site
We do not build visitor profiles for retargeting
We do not ask for payment card details through this website
We do not require an account to browse the site
Cookies and measurement
What is stored in your browser
This site records page views to understand which pages are used. That record holds the page path, the referring page, your browser's user agent string, and a random session identifier — it is not tied to your name, and it is stored on our own systems rather than sent to an advertising network.
The session identifier is kept in your browser's session storage, not in a cookie, and it is discarded when you close the browser. If a measurement tool such as Google Analytics is enabled in future, this policy will be updated to say so before it is switched on.

Sharing, and the limits on it
Information is not sold or shared with third parties except for support, compliance or logistics fulfilment — which in practice means these situations, and no others.
Support and service — Where a repair, replacement or onsite visit is carried out by a service partner, the details needed to complete that work are shared with them.
Logistics fulfilment — Delivery address and contact details are shared with the courier or transporter handling the consignment.
Compliance and legal — Where disclosure is required by law, by a regulator, or by the procurement rules of the programme a system is supplied under.
Nothing beyond these — No sale of data, no sharing with advertising networks, and no transfer to unrelated parties for their own purposes.
Keeping it, and keeping it safe
Retention and security
Enquiry, order, warranty and support records are kept for as long as the commercial relationship and the applicable warranty or contractual obligations require, and for any period a statutory or audit requirement imposes on top of that.
A CV sent through the careers page is kept for twelve months from the day it arrives, and is then deleted automatically — the document itself, the text read from it and the summary written from that text. What remains afterwards is the record that an application was received, which role it was for and what was decided. To have a CV removed before those twelve months are up, write to legal@spectraindia.com.
Access to these records is restricted to the people who need it to do the work — sales, support, logistics and finance — through individual accounts on our own systems. Our manufacturing and information handling processes are guided by the ISO 27001 framework.
No system is immune to every risk, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will act on it and notify affected parties as required.

How to reach us about privacy
To ask what we hold, to have something corrected or removed, or to stop receiving commercial communication from us, write to legal@spectraindia.com. Where a deletion request conflicts with a record we are required to keep — an invoice, or a warranty entitlement — we will say so and explain what is being retained and why.
We may update this policy. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
