Hardware warranty against manufacturing defects and component failure, extended warranty and AMC for mission-critical deployments, and a repair process that closes every ticket with a written account.
Hardware warranty — Manufacturing defects
Extended & AMC — Up to 4–5 years total
On-site or carry-in — As per your order
Priority spares — Large deployments
Data confidentiality — Through the repair
Standard warranty coverage Unless otherwise specified in your commercial documents, NetBytes systems typically include hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use. Coverage applies to servers, storage systems, workstations, industrial PCs and thin clients supplied under the NetBytes brand, on a return-to-bench, carry-in or on-site basis as specified in your order. Refer to your quotation or order confirmation for exact duration and service mode.
Extended warranty and AMC For mission-critical deployments — hospitals, government, defence, smart city, control rooms and data centres — extended warranty and Annual Maintenance Contract options are available. Extension of standard warranty, for example from three years to four or five years total. On-site support with defined response and resolution targets as per agreement. Preventive maintenance visits where included in scope. Priority spares planning for large or distributed deployments.
The process
How a repair request moves
The standard process for a hardware issue, from the ticket to the closure report.
Log a ticket — Serial number or asset tag, invoice or project reference, a description of the issue and any error messages, plus site location and a contact person.
Initial diagnosis — Basic troubleshooting remotely where possible, and identification of whether the issue is hardware, configuration or environment related.
Repair or replacement — Parts repaired or replaced under warranty, carry-in or on-site as per entitlement. Where a part is not immediately available, a suitable compatible replacement may be provided, subject to stock and agreement.
Closure
Every ticket closes with a written account
Once resolved, the ticket is closed with a summary of the issue found and details of the actions taken and parts replaced, if any. For an estate under an AMC that record is what the next audit reads.
Dead-on-arrival cases are handled separately. If a system is found non-functional immediately on installation — within the DOA window from invoice or delivery date as per your terms — notify us at the earliest. Our support team will verify the issue and confirm DOA status, and for valid cases unit or part replacement is prioritised on a best-effort basis.
DOA timelines and conditions may vary by project; the specific commercial and contractual terms govern.
Exclusions
What standard warranty does not cover
Standard warranty covers hardware failure due to manufacturing defects under normal use. It does not cover:
Physical damage, burn marks, broken connectors or damage from mishandling
Damage from electrical surges, improper power, lightning, fire or water
Damage from unauthorised modifications, repairs or unsupported components
Issues arising from software, operating systems, applications or third-party configuration, unless within your support scope
Data loss or corruption — data backup remains the customer's responsibility
Out-of-warranty or excluded repairs, which can be handled on a chargeable basis after mutual confirmation
Data and confidentiality
Your data, through a repair
Hardware that comes back for service may carry data on it. That is handled as a confidentiality matter rather than as an afterthought, and the position is stated so an IT or security team can assess it before shipping a unit.
Where a deployment has its own data-handling requirements — and government, defence and healthcare estates usually do — those can be agreed as part of the support scope rather than discovered at the point of failure.
Confidentiality maintained on units returned for service
Data-handling requirements agreed as part of the support scope
Backup remains the customer's responsibility, before and after service
Actions and parts replaced recorded on the closure report
typical standard cover
with extension
preventive visits
prioritised replacement
Raising a request
How to raise a warranty or repair request
Contact the support team at helpdesk@spectraindia.com with the serial number or asset tag, the invoice or project reference, a brief description of the issue and any error messages, and the site location with a contact person. The more of that arrives with the first message, the fewer round trips before an engineer can act.
For an estate under AMC, raising through your named account contact keeps the ticket against the right entitlement and the right response target.
If you are unsure of your warranty status or service mode, the quotation or order confirmation for that purchase is the governing document — and we can look it up with you.
