A 2U, 8-bay AMD EPYC VMS server with flexible RAID, redundant power and scalable networking for enterprise surveillance deployments.
The NetBytes SRS5 is a 2U rack-mount VMS server designed for enterprise video surveillance, centralised recording and security management deployments. Powered by an AMD EPYC 7402P processor, the system combines server-class compute capacity with eight 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA/SAS drive bays. Storage can be configured according to recording workload and retention requirements rather than being restricted to a fixed capacity.
The base configuration includes 16 GB memory, expandable up to 512 GB as surveillance workloads grow. An LSI RAID controller provides RAID 5, RAID 6 and RAID 10 options, enabling system architects to select an appropriate balance of usable capacity, redundancy and storage performance. Dual 1GbE networking is standard, with optional 10GbE copper, 10GbE SFP+ and 25GbE SFP connectivity for higher-bandwidth recording and management networks.
NetBytes SRS5 supports Windows Server and Linux environments and is intended for use with major VMS platforms, including Sparsh, i2V and Videonetics. Camera count is determined by the selected VMS, codec, resolution, frame rate, analytics workload, storage configuration and network design rather than a fixed server claim. Dual redundant 800 W RPS helps maintain power continuity, while the standard three-year warranty can be extended to five years. The platform carries BIS, RoHS, EMI/EMC and FCC compliance marks for Indian enterprise procurement.
NetBytes SRS5 provides a server-class foundation for centralised video recording, monitoring and VMS management across enterprise, government, commercial and institutional environments. Its AMD EPYC 7402P processor and scalable memory architecture support deployments where recording services, VMS databases and management functions share a common platform. The system does not impose a fixed camera-count claim because practical capacity depends on the selected VMS, video codec, stream resolution, frame rate, analytics load and retention policy. This allows system integrators and IT teams to size each configuration around actual project requirements. Support for major VMS platforms, including Sparsh, i2V and Videonetics, also gives procurement teams flexibility when standardising new installations or expanding an existing surveillance environment.
Eight 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA/SAS bays allow the NetBytes SRS1 to be configured around the required recording volume and retention period. Instead of prescribing a fixed drive capacity, NetBytes can size storage for the project’s stream profile, recording schedule and data-retention policy. The integrated LSI RAID controller supports RAID 5, RAID 6 and RAID 10, giving solution architects multiple ways to balance usable capacity, redundancy and storage performance. Hot-swap bays simplify planned drive servicing without requiring extensive chassis disassembly. For Indian surveillance tenders and enterprise deployments, this configurable approach helps align the bill of materials with technical specifications while avoiding unnecessary capacity. Final drive selection and RAID layout can be established during quotation after the recording workload has been assessed.
Dual 1GbE networking is included for standard connectivity, while optional 10GbE copper, 10GbE SFP+ and 25GbE SFP interfaces address higher-bandwidth recording, management and storage-network requirements. Memory starts at 16 GB and can be expanded up to 512 GB, allowing the platform to adapt as VMS services and associated workloads evolve. Dual redundant 800 W RPS provides a resilient power arrangement for rack deployments. The server can be supplied for Windows Server or Linux environments, depending on the chosen VMS and project architecture. A three-year warranty is standard and can be extended to five years for longer procurement and support cycles. BIS, RoHS, EMI/EMC and FCC compliance marks support documentation requirements for Indian enterprise and institutional purchasing.
